Check actual stock first
A list of foods you like is different from a list of ingredients in the kitchen. Mark what is present and note uncertain quantities. In Tablumi, manual pantry management is available without the cloud-scanning workflow. A fridge scan is optional and still needs your review before its proposed ingredients become useful stock information.
Choose a small set of anchors
Instead of trying to use every ingredient in one dish, choose a small set that gives the meal a direction. Tomato and egg, for example, can suggest a tomato-and-egg dish; a starch or side may complete the meal depending on your preferences and chosen recipe. This is an illustration of the decision process, not a full recipe or a nutrition plan.
Tell the app what kind of cooking fits
Select the available ingredients and use the local cooking controls to choose a style or practical constraint. Tablumi uses exact ingredient rules where available and templates when it needs a fallback. It may offer a dish name or combination, rather than step-by-step instructions. That distinction matters: a name can inspire a search but cannot replace a recipe.
Read the recipe before deciding what to buy
Once an idea appeals to you, check a complete recipe for the actual ingredients, quantities and preparation. Compare those requirements with your stock. Do not assume that a suggested substitute has the same cooking behavior or allergen profile. If a quantity is unknown, leave it for review instead of marking it automatically covered by your pantry.
Make the result useful next time
If you like the meal, save it in your own food library and record what you changed. A short note such as “wanted a simpler version” can be more useful later than another unsorted recipe link. You can add the meal to a plan or record it after eating, keeping intentions and actual meals separate.
Do not let a reminder decide food safety
Purchase dates and expiry reminders reflect the information you recorded. A suggestion to prioritize an ingredient is not a determination that it is safe to eat. The app does not inspect storage conditions or identify every sign of spoilage. This guide focuses on organizing ideas; it does not provide food-storage or medical nutrition instructions.
