Start with a useful view
Choose a photo where the ingredients and relevant packaging are visible. Unlike the meal-photo cutout workflow, a fridge scan needs the wider scene for context. Avoid including private information you do not want processed. Manual pantry entry is still available if you prefer not to send a photo to cloud AI.
Confirm before adding to your pantry
Read the proposed names and remove incorrect or duplicate items. Packaging can resemble a different product, and a visible container does not reveal how much is left. Check quantities and storage notes yourself. A recognition suggestion is not an instruction to merge separate ingredients or silently overwrite your existing stock.
Use the pantry to choose a meal
After reviewing your ingredients, move to local cooking ideas and choose a style or practical constraint. The local generator uses rules and templates rather than a cloud request. It can suggest a dish name or meal combination, but a suggestion is not proof that you have every ingredient or the right amount.
Useful moments to try it
- Review visible groceries after unpacking a shopping bag.
- Check what is in the fridge before deciding what else to buy.
- Start a cooking session with ingredients you have confirmed yourself.
